So, here are some of the pictures from the 4th of July. We were sitting right in front of the Washington Monument, and the fireworks were right in our face, awesomely loud, blow you away. Hence the somewhat worried look on Wesley's face. There were a TON of people there, but thanks to our strategiziling (heading to the farther metro stop, allowing us to get on before the masses of people) we didn't have to wait in line forever to catch the train, and we got seats. We still didn't get home until really late, but it was an amazing experience for our little family.





Our little patch was just to the right of this picture, right on a soft spot of newly replaced sod, with poles to lean against.
